alrighttt. im BACK! hahas its 2008's 1st entry! (:
found my passion in writing again. -applauds-
anyhows/ 2007 has been a great year. great frens, family, food, fun. to sum it up isnt easy.
and im not gonna try. haha life s all about moving on ya! so no looking back.
but of cos. i ll update about my hk food escapades & singapore s too.
jus attended a career talk by AFC (Asian Food Channel). interacted with top executives of the company. was really an eye opener. i think i found my passion. i wanna go into the media industry... to channel my skills into marketing & communications. sounds real fun! (: looking forward to submitting my CV to them and hopefully get an internship offer this june *beams*

aights. back to floggin. here are the peektures for my trip to hk last dec! enjoy!!
HongKong, the pearl of Asia, is truly a place where cultures from the East meets that of the West. the vibrance in this city is reflected through the endless nightlife and flow of people day in day out. cultural fusion is also very evident in the foods that are found in HK, and that has made living in HK a very attractive option. Albeit the hustle & bustle of this city, HongKongers do take time off their busy schedules to spend on quality food and entertainment. Karaoke is one form of it, and going on hiking trips is popular among the younger generations as well.
talking about food, it will be never ending as HK simply has too much good food to begin with.
during my trip, i sampled some of the best dishes i have ever had and I hope to discover more during my many trips to come! (:
this 2 pizzas are from Pizza Express! Pizza Express has 3 branches in HK & they serve real authentic pizzas. thin crust, rich ingredients. they even have healthier options available! such as wholewheat pizza crust for the health-conscious.
me & wilson finished the two pizzas! they are huge right. i love th parma ham pizza (above). reallyyy good. the cheese shavings on top finishes off each bite with perfection! the parma ham s fresh and succulent too. wilson chose the mushroom pizza (below). its nice too! but i reckoned more kinds of mushroom could have been added (: but its good too! tho i prefer my choice -beams-

after pizza, we walked all the way to causeway bay!was a long long long walk from central. but twas cooling. so we didnt mind. ate at yee shun milk company!! the steamed milk there s to die for. tho i found another dessert shop selling an alternative to it. but yarh i ll ALWAYS eat this everytime i go back. they have a few outlets in HK. one based in causeway bay. near times square. but it actually originated from macau! (:

alright this is damn random. but i tink this girl i saw at macs
is duper cute. she jus got off sch and having tea break with her daddy
her cheeks are soooo red & chubs!! hahas she s made famous already. hur hur
had dinner with daddy jason & wilson at harborside grill at macau jockey club. since we are members, we can eat there anytime we want. hur hur. on my dad's acct of cos. but the Western food there s really decent! i d say delicious in fact. look at that below. baked mussels with miso cream & wine sauce. real juicy & cheesy. YUM!
the mussels are jus appetizers. the main dishes were as follow. this is the pan-seared ribeye steak (below) with greens. elder bro's dish. looks really presentable & delectable. n yupp its nice! the portions could be bigger though.(esp for guys)
mine finally came. after waiting & waiting. *the others' came at least 15 mins before mine*
its the baked salmon cod fish in pumpkin saffron sauce & alfafa greens. fortunately, my wait was not in vain! i think my dish was the nicest of everything. really. alot of effort was put into weaving strips of salmon along with cod and then bake it, before pouring the saffron sauce over. really creative! (:
met carlo and dora for dinner on xmas! (: with their lovely daughter annie. had dinner at this jap restaurant at sheraton. its my dad's fav jap food haunt. he knows practically all the staff there. including the chef of cos (: so we had special attention while we were there & they came up with a tailored kinda sashimi platter for us. those fish are flown in fresh from Japan every fortnight. so happen to have real nice ones that evening ! (: esp the toro pieces. real meltish!
the main courses were gobbled up quickly as we were all hungry. OOPS. so sorry. no photos for them. well i thot every beginning shud have an end. so here s the dessert photo!! we had pumpkin ice cream for dessert. really nice! refreshing & healthy tasting. hur hur
okay i swear this is the best ramen place i ve ever been to. interested parties DO ask me about it. its reallyyyyy good. everything s made perfect to ur preferences. your own tailor made ramen bowl!! the cha-shu ramen (below)

my side dish, the meat balls (below)

mine!! black sesame noodles with black fungi & shaven corn bits! (:

some random cha-chan teng at mongkok. served traditional cha-chan-teng eats. including this mushroom veg & maw beef brisket rice. real cheap! tasty too!! (:

alright that s all for now. updates again soon! (:
